Reading our Books!

Our awesome first week of camp concluded with each student presenting their books to the class in a "guest author" type of format. Students talked to the class about themselves and took questions. They discussed their writing style and the techniques they used to create the illustrations.

Students left camp with their picture, pop up, and flip books as well as with a significant increase in their confidence to create both through their art and with their words.

Next week...Fashion!!

  1. Beautiful books! Your camp looks like a lot of fun. I'm glad they got to discuss their books.

  2. Thanks! We had a great time using both sides of our amazing brains to create something fantastic! I always encourage my students to present their art at the end of the week. Showing their personal creations to others helps them break through barriers and open themselves up to new possibilities.
